We all know that when we lack good health so many other aspects of our life can suffer as well. To ensure a well-balanced 'you' - we must make your health a priority!


So are you in need of a 'change up' to your health routine this season? Looking to get more balanced and nourishment into your body? What's on your health horizon this year? Getting that balance is key all year long to decrease the stress it can put on our bodies, and help with an extra layer of protection at increased times of need.


Here are a few thoughts / easy tips and simple ways to get balanced and boost your health and overall well-being.


Nutrition - daily attention to our nutrition with a balance of food we eat - putting goodness into your body. A healthy approach to eating that includes a variety of nutrient-dense foods, plant and/or animal protein, fats and complex carbs .... Be aware of what you are eating ... what foods give us energy, what foods best suit our body. Eat a variety of foods.

Try and work hard towards building healthier meals and snacks is a great place to start.


Fibre & Phytonutrients: shoot for five servings of vegetables a day — raw, steamed, or stir-fried. A diet high in vegetables is associated with a reduced risk of developing certain cancers and boosts immunity and mood. Many of the most powerful phytonutrients are the ones with the boldest colours — such as broccoli, cabbage, carrots, tomatoes, grapes, and leafy greens.

Include exercise into your daily routine - whether it's a walk around the park or the block, a sprint up the stairs, star jumps, or a few squats as your hang the washing out. Whatever you do, mix up your movement routine and do something everyday.


Sleep - Rest & Relax - getting enough sleep is important for the health of the entire family. A healthy immune system is based not only on the foods we eat but also on getting the sleep our bodies need each day. Getting the required rest allows our bodies to function and plays a role in developing and managing chronic diseases like diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity, and depression. If you are not getting the sleep needed, consider what changes you can make to your lifestyle habits and daily schedule to help improve your sleep habits.


Being around people - check in my with good company. The healthiest people are those that have relationships with other healthy & positive people. Connecting with people that lift your spirits and that you enjoy being around.


Start now - Make time every day to give you time to release tension, refocus and contribute to giving your overall health & immune system the boost it needs.
